marinara penne pasta w | sautéed chicken

here are the steps of creating this delicious meal, I really wowed myself with this one. (at least I think so)

- Boil your Penne noodes with a 1 teaspoon of olive oil and  a pinch of salt for about 30 minutes.

- While pasta is cooking, prepare your chicken with the right amount of seasoning. (ie: italian medley seasoning, lemon pepper seasoning, kickin’ chicken seasoning, and montreal seasoning.)

- Finely cut some fresh peppers and onions for more flavor.

- Prepare your pot for the chicken, pour a nice amount of virgin olive oil into the pan. Not too much now.

- Place cut peppers + onions in your pot, then about a few seconds later add your seasoned chicken. (make sure fire is on low, to prevent the chicken from hardening, or possible getting burnt or dried out.)

- For about 30 minutes watch chicken carefully and continue to flip over back and forth.

- Take boiled Penne noodles and carefully place them into a strainer while running cool water over them.

- Don’t forget about the chicken, because its easy for chicken to dry out.

- Boil your Marinara Sauce (we used organic bertolli marinara sauce) on the stove and season the sauce if you like. I did.

- When the sauce begins to bubble, add the penne noodles to the pot and stir until evenly distributed.

- Remember the seasoned peppers from the chicken? Yes, remove them from the chicken pot and add them to the pot with the marinara sauce and noodles. It just adds more flavor. Yummy!

- Add a little parsley + parmesan for more appeal!

-When chicken is done cooking, you can then serve to your guest.

garlic lemon pasta

pasta

seen this delicious recipe on The Pioneer Woman, but decided to add my own little twist to it!

so here is what you will need:

boil your pasta. I used penne noodles.

lemons or lemon juice

chicken breast

shrimp (your choice)

basely leaves

salt + pepper

1/2 cup of better

3/4 cups of heavy creme

parmesan cheese

garlic cloves

______

Cook pasta, reserving 1 cup of hot pasta water when you drain. Set pasta aside in a colander.

In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Squeeze in the juice of 3 to 4 lemons. Whisk together. Pour in cream and half-and-heat. Whisk until hot. Dump in cheese and whisk until melted. Add salt and pepper. Check consistency, adding some of the hot pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.

Pour pasta and sauce into a large serving bowl. Sprinkle remaining basil all over the top, then add sliced chicken breasts. Serve immediately!
